ABOUT LOVE NORTH SOUTHWARK CIC

Welcome to Love North Southwark, a community organisation founded by Kathleen Heather. 

At Love North Southwark, our mission is to support those in need within our community. We began in 2020 by responding to the pandemic with fresh food deliveries, and quickly grew to providing food parcels to hundreds of people each week. 

After operating a food pantry out of a few different spaces, Love North Southwark found a permanent home right beside Southwark Park on Slippers Place. In addition to the Bermondsey Food Pantry, we also run special events such as our Toy Drive for Christmas, where we collected over 100 toys to distribute to local children.

At the end of 2022, Love North Southwark expanded to also offer a Baby Bank service. Betty’s Baby Bank is a non profit project that has been created to help local families with children under five who need support. Through donations from the community we provide baby and toddler essentials to families in need such as nappies, clothing, prams, baby food and more.

Kathleen who founded Love North Southwark has a passion for bringing people together and making a difference in her community. Kathleen has been recognized for her contributions to the community, receiving the Keib Thomas Active Citizen of the Year award from Community Southwark’s Southwark Stars awards.

We are proud to be a CIC registered organization, and we rely on donations and funding to continue our work.
