Bettys Baby bank Frequently Asked Questions

Your donations of great quality baby supplies and clothing help us run the baby bank. Donations can be dropped off from 10am - 1pm, Monday to Friday at Betty's Baby Bank, 4-5 Gataker St, Slippers Place, SE16 2EN. Please do not leave donations outside the Baby Bank as we are unable to accept them.

Monetary donations are also appreciated and help fund the gap in essential baby items that we receive. If you would like to volunteer then please pop by to Betty's Baby Bank and speak with Kathy.

Donations can be dropped off at Betty’s Baby Bank (4-5 Gataker St, Slippers Place, SE16 2EN) from 10am - 1pm Monday through Friday. We really appreciate the donations that you make. Please keep in mind these are a gift for other families in need and should be donated in good condition i.e. of a quality that you would be happy to pass on to family or friends. 

We also appreciate monetary donations that can help fund the gap in essential baby items that we receive that can be made on our Just Giving page.

 We're open to any families with children under five who need help. No referral required. If you need help or know someone who does, please contact us to make at appointment at Betty's Baby Bank, 4-5 Gataker St, Slippers Place, SE16 2EN. 

We cater for families with babies and children up to five. We would love your support with:

• Unopened (and within the use by date) baby food, formula and healthy toddler snacks
• New unopened nappies and wipes in all sizes
• Baby sleep supplies e.g. Moses baskets, cots, bedding (no used mattresses), baby sleeping bags, blankets
• Strollers/buggies/prams
• Feeding supplies e.g. bottles, breast pumps, high chairs, children's cutlery and plates, sippy cups
• Baby and toddler play things e.g. playmats, toys in good condition, walkers, books etc.
• Clothing suitable for newborn up until five years old sorted by age and gender
• Other baby items such as baths, slings/carriers, changing mats, changing bags, bouncy chairs

We have limited space for storage so if you have any large items or toys (like jumperoos) to donate, please get in contact with us first.

• Worn-out or stained clothing
• Cot bumpers
• Nappy bins

 All items of baby and toddler clothing are provided for free but we ask for a small donation for nappies and large items such as prams to help us continue to offer this service.
