What is the Bermondsey Food Pantry?

Welcome to the Bermondsey Food Pantry - a community initiative by Love North Southwark that is dedicated to providing food support to those in need. After years of uncertainty, we are proud that we have found permanent premises at Gataker House on the Slippers Place Estate, just a few minutes' walk down Southwark Park Road from our previous location.

Our team of volunteers, led by Kathleen Heather, has been working tirelessly to ensure that we can continue to provide essential support to the community, even in the face of rising demand due to the cost of living crisis and the end of the temporary uplift to universal credit.

At the Bermondsey Food Pantry, we offer a range of affordable food options, with twelve items available for just £7.

How much does the food pantry cost to access?

It costs £7 for 12 items from the Food Pantry. The money raised goes back into helping provide this subsidised food service. All are welcome.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, you need an appointment to access the food pantry. To make an appointment pop into visit us at 4-5 Gataker St, London SE16 2EN or call Kathy on 07 730 465 160.

What time is the food pantry open?

The Bermondsey Food Pantry is open Monday to Friday from 10am till 3pm.

Yes, the funding we receive is provided to support these areas so you must be a resident of Bermondsey or Rotherhithe to access the Bermondsey Food Pantry.
